Join us this Sunday morning, April 6, to hear a sermon from August Drake-Ericson.

August Drake Ericson is a member of Spirit of St Mary’s Prayer Group, St Mary's Justice Committee and their Sound Alliance Core Team. She also serves as the Saint Mary's, Seattle president of the St. Vincent de Paul Society (A Catholic mission of neighbors helping neighbors). She recently retired from her 35-year career as a project manager for the City of Seattle where her final project was creating and managing the Navigation Team. Seattle’s Navigation Team supported compassionate policing and reduced the criminalization of the unhoused, while providing low-cost, drug-user, low-barrier, safe entry into housing for community members unable to access housing on their own. Its ultimate goal was to leave all Seattle communities activated, safer and cleaner.

WPPC is located on the unceded ancestral lands of the Duwamish people.

We acknowledge that they are still here, continuing to honor and bring light to their heritage,

and we benefit every day from the theft of their land.
