Join us for an engaging evening of fellowship and fun with our “extended family” as we dine together and discuss art — in this case, literally, a play called Art by Yasmina Reza, who won a Pulitzer Prize for this script!

Next Wednesday, May 13, at 6pm, our siblings at Northminster will host a potluck dinner in their library space followed by a minimally staged reading of Art performed by Dustin Wilsor (Northminster), Nicole Busacca (Wallingford), and J Kyle.

You are invited (but certainly not required!) to contribute to the potluck; if you can’t make it for dinner, the play will start around 7 and runs just under 90 minutes. Following the reading, we will have a short moderated discussion about the themes of the play and why we think it is (or isn’t?) relevant to our community and social context.

This is a play that uses comedy and heightened circumstance to engage with ideas around taste, friendship, and the value of art — this is to say, it’s not a bummer! In the way that silliness can often expose more depth than seriousness can, this promises to be a lively evening of laughter that opens the door to thoughtfulness.

Please join us, free of charge, in this new community effort!
