Family Ministries
Small, but mighty, our Family Ministries nurtures strong, young minds who feel confident in their beliefs and their questions and frequently assist in worship.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Children's Education meets from 9:00 to 10:30 on Sundays. Childcare is offered during worship.
We use the wonderful Godly Play method of faith formation for our Sunday morning lessons with our youngest members (toddlers through early elementary). Godly Play introduces children to Bible stories and the basic concepts of faith through age-appropriate, interactive, open-ended imaginative play and music. This model encourages questions and wondering…and it’s always fun to hear what the kids have to say!
Our older kids participate in a weekly small group Sunday School experience using the Living the Word curriculum. Each lesson is based on the lectionary preaching text from the previous week, which encourages kids to listen during worship so they have something to share next week! Lessons include art projects, spiritual practices (walking the labyrinth, progressive understandings of prayer, etc), and social justice connections.
