At the June stated meeting of Presbytery we learned that Rev. Tiare Mathison is liaison to Woodland Park PC pastor nominating committee for co-pastor. Todd Peterson was appointed as a Commissioner to the 225th General Assembly. The new Seattle Presbytery logo was shared at this meeting. Alan is including it with this article. In the April WPPC newsletter, I described her as the curator of the Beyoncé Mass. There will be a virtual performance of it on Friday, 9/24/21. UCUCC will have more details in the coming weeks The Journal of Presbyterian History, the scholarly publication of the Presbyterian Historical Society, is devoting its next two issues to “The Dynamics of Indigenization” in global Christian communities. Floyd traveled to the U.S.-Mexico border, he was prepared to encounter a lot of pain in refugees they would meet in U.S. detention facilities and migrant shelters in Tijuana. He also learned how the paths of people who are refugees and LGBTQIA+ intersect every day.
