We Are Slowly Killing Our Home

Artist: Peggy McClintock

The 7.7 billion humans on earth have altered our climate through the over-use of CO2 emitting fossil fuels as depicted by my examples of industry and transportation systems. The harmful consequences of our human reliance on coal, oil and natural gas, such as forest fires, flooding and lack of water for growing food are also shown. Ultimately, this will surely result in global starvation and human mass migration.

I tried to show just some examples of global warming causes and effects in my part of the quilt. Humans have the ability to change this path to the total destruction of our planet. And we, as people of faith, should use our Christian principles to help find solutions that are fair and just to all creatures in our home on earth.
