The Three Wise Women

Artist: Karen Siscel Smith

Patrisse Khan-Cullors (born 1984)
Alicia Garza (born 1981)
Opal Tometi (born c. 1983)
Founders of BLACK LIVES MATTER

Patrisse Khan-Cullors, Alicia Garza, and Opal Tometi founded Black Lives Matter in response to the acquittal of Trayvon Martin's murderer. They began a movement to call attention to violence against black people.

Equal treatment by law enforcement is an extremely important social justice concern to me as a Christian and as an ex-attorney. These women are most certainly wise and I believe that if Jesus were here today, he would be marching with them.
