Holy Week Schedule

Palm/Passion Sunday (March 24): Worship at 10:30amThis year, we are looking to both honor and diverge a little from our recent Palm/Passion Sunday traditions. As in the past, the structure of the service will follow Jesus on his journey from the triumphal entry into Jerusalem all the way to the cross. There won’t be a “sermon” in the traditional sense; rather, we are hoping for a handful of YOU to share a short reflection (1 page-ish, 2-3 minutes) on a portion or event in the story after each section of scripture is read.Click here to review the list of readings and sign up to offer a reflection or be a reader.

Our hope is that this lends a new, more personal perspective on these very familiar moments in the action of Holy Week. If you would be willing to spend a little time in thought and prayer about what one of these stories means to you, please reach out to JoeJ Kyle, or Todd. We will also have a moment this Sunday in worship to clarify and answer any questions you might have about this request. In the meantime, please consider opening yourself up to give a brief offering about one of the stories occurring in the gospel of Mark, from chapter 11 through the end.

A flower cross will be decorated with flower donations. In keeping with the aim of simplicity, we will be using only flowers donated on Sunday.  Please bring what you can and come a little early to help put them on the cross.  Elizabeth Bryant is the contact person for helping with the flower cross, so contact Elizabeth if you’d like to be involved.

We are looking forward to a joyful and blessed Easter morning and celebration of the Risen Christ.  -- Membership Committee
