This morning I found an unexpected pocket of delight! Seems only fitting that I share with you today. Now, most of you will not be shocked in the least to hear me say that I'm a fan of Barbra Streisand. I mean, come on! I had no idea that she was releasing a new album, which happened just a few days ago. And to add an extra layer of excitement for me, one of the first things I saw when I downloaded the album was a duet with none other than Willie Nelson!
Two legends of pretty different worlds, musically speaking, came together for a song that they turned very much into their own, extremely self-referencial to their long and familiar careers, and the result is a sweet little trifle of delight. I have no idea if the two of them even have a real friendship or if it was more or less manufactured for this record, but I frankly don't care if it's true or not! It's a nice ode to friendship, andI hope you just enjoy a little bit of cute fun, and a lovely, creative video to boot!
